Personal
From the moment Knauf received his first judogi on his 6th birthday, judo became his passion.
He won twenty junior national titles from ages 8-20 and carried his judo skills to another discipline to become an Illinois All-State wrestler.
Alex made history in 2021 as the first ever male athlete from the United States to capture gold at the Jr. Pan American Games. That performance qualified him for the Sr. Pan American Games in 2023, where he brought home bronze.
