2025 Senior Pan American / Oceania Championships Team Selection Procedures
Updated December 12, 2024 #
The 2025 Senior Pan American/Oceania Championships will be held in Santiago, Chile, from April 25-27, 2025. The team will consist of 18 total athletes, 9 male and 9 female, based off the International Judo Federation World Ranking List (WRL) that includes all results through Monday, March 10, 2025 (results up to and including 2025 Upper Austria Grand Prix). This list will be used to identify the 9 highest ranking male athletes and the 9 highest ranking female athletes. All selections will be based on the number of accrued points per weight division on the IJF WRL. Athletes who hold points in more than one weight category will not have their points combined.
The above criteria is based on the current IJF/PJC eligibility rules. If the IJF/PJC changes eligibility rules, USA Judo reserves the right to modify the 2025 Senior Pan American/Oceania Championships Team criteria.
There will be a maximum of 2 athletes in any single weight category. If a category has already been filled by 2 athletes, no other athletes may be considered for that category unless there is a subsequent withdrawal from one of the two occupied slots. In the case of any withdrawal, the next highest ranked eligible athlete on IJF WRL will be selected to the team providing their weight division has unfilled slots. This will continue until all 9 slots are filled for both men and women.
These athletes will be named to the 2025 Senior Pan American/Oceania Championships Team.
