Event-Only Membership Updates
by Nicole Jomantas
The USA Judo Board of Directors approved the following update regarding eligibility for individuals to purchase the $15 event-only membership that was launched earlier this year as follows:
First-time USA Judo members or individuals who have not been a member of USA Judo for two years may purchase an event only membership for $15 under the following rules:
- Participants 16 and under can purchase an event-only membership for up to four non-point tournaments per year.
- Participants 17 and over can only use the event-only membership one time at a non-point tournament.
Athletes may purchase an event-only membership through this link: https://usajudo.sport80.com/public/wizard/a/1218. Memberships will be placed in a pending state until USA Judo’s National Office approves it during normal business hours. Memberships in an invalid or pending state are not eligible for competition. Athletes will receive a PDF membership card via email once the membership is approved.
Please Note: Event-only memberships cannot be used at USA Judo Point Tournaments. Event-only memberships are only valid for the duration of the selected event and are not intended for club use. This fee can be applied towards a full membership if the individual wishes to upgrade in the same calendar year. Further, event-only memberships may not be used to receive points and maintain a position on a USA Judo National Roster. This membership type may be used at tournaments only and not at camps, clinics or other club events.
