Twenty-Two Current World Team Members to Compete at President’s Cup in Irving, Texas, on Sunday

More than 850 athletes from around the nation will fight at the President’s Cup in Irving, Texas on Sunday, November 24.

Competition will include athletes fighting in the senior, junior, visually impaired, brown belt and novice divisions at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
The tournament begins at 8:20 a.m. and concludes at approximately 8 p.m.
Admission is $15 for spectators 13 and older and $10 for those ages 9-12. Children eight and under are free.
This year marks the 11th straight year the President’s Cup has been held in Irving with the divisions being highlighted by 2024 Senior, Junior and Cadet World Team members, including:
- Christopher Velazco (Coral Springs, Fla. / NYAC / Ki-Itsu-Sai National Training Center / 60 kg), three-time Junior World Team member and 2024 Senior World Team member
- Emily Jaspe (Hialeah, Fla. / Ki-Itsu-Sai National Training Center / 63 kg), three-time Junior World Team member and 2023 Cadet Worlds fifth-place finisher
- Nancy Nguyen (San Jose, Calif. / San Jose State University Judo / 70kg), Junior World No. 18 at 70 kg and 2023 USA Judo Senior Nationals bronze medalist
- Karlee Carrouth (Oklahoma City, Okla. / NYAC / USA Stars Foundation) three-time Junior World Team member
- Jasmine Macias (La Puente, Calif. / Guerreros Judo Club) two-time Junior World Team member and 2024 Junior Olympic National Champion
- Daniel Liubimovski (Staten Island, N.Y. / NYAC / Colton Brown Training Center) Junior World No. 12 at 100 kg and 2023 USA Judo Senior National Champion
- Chloe Williams (Stafford, Va. / Wall 2 Wall Martial Arts) 2024 Senior Nationals silver medalist
Other 2024 Junior World Team (20 & under) set to compete are Kelani Ramos (Bethesda, Md. / Precision Grappling / 48 kg) and Ellianna Abbott (Rayne, La. / Louisiana Judo / 57 kg).
Thirteen members of the 2024 Cadet World Championship Team (17 & under) will also be in action in Irving.
