Personal:
Holguin was introduced to judo when her father would taker her to watch older brother Cameron's practices. Soon his coach asked if she would like to give the sport a try and Holguin quickly rose through the ranks, qualifying to represent Team USA on the international stage as a 15-year-old at both the Junior and Cadet World Championships in 2015. Holguin began competing on the senior international circuit in 2016, qualifying for her first Senior National Team as a 17-year-old in 2018 when she fought at the Senior Pan American Championships. Balancing training with going to college full time, Holguin earned her Bachelor's degree in public health from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2022 and has her eyes set on qualifying for the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games.
